When i go to new room, game freeze for about 1second. The same is when voices of children or other appears. My PC is Radeon HD 5870 , i3 and 4GB Ram. What can be the problem ?

Because when you enter the new room, it loads that room's environments, so it can freeze, try to update your graphic card to the latest version.
i have this problem too!!!! i dont understand i can play bf3 on ultra skyrm on ultra
so my game stutters whenever something scary is going to happen
right before.. so its not scary for me!!
i don't know how to fix this.. its not my graphics drivers im pretty positive i have them all updated.. could it be anything else??
But at several points or running from room to room this game is even unplayable. From freeze to freeze. In others game is ok. My PC is so bad that that he can't handle old engine in background ?

i know right.. i dont understand, seems like most people are not having the same problem.. i can play so many games really smooth.. and it sucks cuz i love amnesia and know one will help me figure this out.. i jsut re installed the game.. did a clean re install of my drivers.. didn't do anything!!

Jens said there will be an update, I hope this will fix your problem, and I don't think there is a problem with your PC.
It could be due to a slow harddrive, try to defragment it and see if that helps. Everything is loaded when a level loads, except some sounds that are streamed from the drive as they play, it might be that the stutter/freeze comes from it taking some time to find and buffer a bit of the sound/music/voice.
Same issue here... I own the GOG version, and I have a powerful computer (i7 2770k, GTX 670, 8 GB Ram, Windows 8 etc.). I can't understand why this is happening.
same here, and i don't think that this has something to with the scripts. it also happens when i stand still and move the camera around. it's not even a framedrop. i get perfect 60fps. it's just a single hitch every five seconds or so. very annoying
amd x4 965, 8gb ddr3, geforce 560ti
