If it is going to be point and click type of a game without real time 3D environment I doubt it will stand a chance. But we'll see.

I think you didn't play Scratches.
A game having Lovecraftian theme doesn't put it on same boat. Asylum is a point & click game, and it can only challenge point & click games.
Bleh... This is worse than comparing Amnesia to DirectX games...
