Everytime I try to launch Amnesia, the Fatal Error Renderer #0 message pops up. I have tried the step-by-step solutions offered on the trouble-shooting page, but it still doesn't work. My graphics driver is up to date. I'm starting to get really frustrated because I paid for a game I can't even play! Please help! My graphic device is: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

You should search for the system requirements and/or try to demo before pay something.
There is nothing Frictional Games can do here. However, there is hope, Intel may release a new driver to support Amnesia, which here is not the place to ask for it.

That's all well and dandy, but why did all three Penumbras work? That doesn't make much sense to me. :/
Because Penumbra Trilogy uses HPL1 engine, whereas Amnesia uses HPL2 engine which requires more than HPL1 does.
Wild question is how much ram have u given to intel for use... from bios?
