I have been playing amnesia for quite some time without any problems with the patch but I always had this problem. When I press Alt-Tab or the Start Button and Amnesia minimizes, the mouse is always stuck at the top-left corner of the screen and I can't move it whatever I do. That also happens sometimes with the launcher. What can I do to fix this?

SOLVED, you can find the solution here:

You cannot fix, you have to quit and enter again.
Play in windowed mode is the only way I know for you to alt-tab properly.
yes that is strange. They should fix this. I hope they do at their next patch which will contain Justine mainly from what I've heard.
this is nothing if it gets stuck do ctrl+esc and that brings up start menu then click amnesia screen and its fixed Smile
The way I fixed this was, I downloaded ShiftWindow.
Then set up a rule for Amnesia to run in somewhat fullscreen. (Actually just position the window the border is outside the view and make it fit the screen. Trial and error simply)

The only downside of this is that you need to run ShiftWindow when you want to play Amnesia, but it isn't much of a problem. (can't give you any screenshots, I'm on Linux ATM)
Hmmm... I cant see your avatar shapeshifting... Am I doing something wrong ? xD
Issue: The problem is located at the file SDL.dll which is common in OpenGL games.

Details: Amnesia uses SDL.dll v1.2.14.0 which due to a bug does not let the mouse get away from the game and so it is stuck at the left corner when ALT-Tab is pressed.

Solution: Copy SDL.dll v1.2.15.0, which adds a proper ALT-Tab fix, and overwrite the original SDL.dll v1.2.14.0.

Download: You need SDL.dll v1.2.15.0 file which is attached to this post.

Disclaimer: Frictional Games are not the developers of SDL.dll library.
Instead of downloading, just use Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

It won't work. I know that 100%. As soon as you go to desktop the mouse will freeze again. Just download the file and you won't have any problems(except the small one I wrote above).
