First test if lantern turns into a flashlight without doing a total conversion to make sure it's installed correctly. Backup your models folder though.

How do you mean?
Install your batteries + flashlight?
btw, if I can get these to work and maybe make custom modern models I can do a total Conversion Mod also DarkLoki (Dark88 on this forum) has some great ideas which we are gonna try to make ^^, I don't know if it will be like Yours or Unbirth's but we'll see.
If it's a different idea then it shouldn't be like anything before.
I can't quite get what is not working for you.

The lantern model is just a lantern and not a flashlight, that's my problem.
I did everything you told me to do, install your flashlight files, the flashlight model and the conversion mod setup.
oooow, I renamed my config and models file to BACKUP_[name] without creating a new config and models file and I get an error saying it can't find the game config file.
I'm using this in my shortcut:
"D:\PC Games\Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist\Amnesia.exe" conv_config/main_init.cfg
Ok, I made a backup of my models and config then I just isntalled the flashlight like they say in the readme.txt and it works (just need to get the sound working)
On a similar note, how is the flashlight mod accomplished if we own the game on Steam? Steam forces it to be run from the launcher, which doesn't appear to have any means of calling the separate config file the way you've described. Anyone with Steam have this figured out, or do I have to buy a retail copy to pull it off? (Yet another thing completely stupid about Steam, I might add.)
I did it fine on steam, you just have to go to your Amnesia folder under program files/steam/steamapps/common/amnesia
Same way works, but if you want you can call the launcher with config file and launcher passes it to Amensia.exe nicely.
While the launcher passes the config file to the .exe properly, Amnesia crashes upon trying to start a new game or run a custom story. This despite following the directions from
http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thr...age-2.html to the letter. Do you need to copy the rest of the models folder into wn_models or is the /wn_models/ line in resources.cfg supposed to be in addition to the regular /models/ line? That's the only thing I can think of that would cause the error.
The only thing I did was copy the models folder, overwriting the current Amnesia models folder.
