I just don't understand. All files are in the right place...
Not sure if this is something, but I initially saved my custom story into a custom my documents folder. I then copied it into the custom story-maps folder. I have also begun saving the map directly into that folder. Could that have interfered with anything?

lang file seems fine, are you sure you put the correct name in the cfg settings ? and the correct file path ?

ImgFile has correct image, correct maps folder, correct startmap. I've also checked and the Player Start Area is also correct

Try removing the image and see if it works. Hmm if that not works I really need to figure it out.

Still not working. I have uploaded the custom story's folder to mediafire. It contains the map, image, .cpf, .lang and .hps files and folders as they are on my computer.

For starters, you need to name the file as custom_story_settings.cfg.
