Sometimes saying that "we don't want you to be an ass towards others" isn't enough.
I personally don't really like or want to use these things on anybody, but being continuously cocky or insulting other users or just being a too much of an ass is a bad thing. Nobody's happy with a person like this. If someone doesn't really understand to stop, it's a way to tell that now you've crossed the line, but you still have a very good change to claim back your status since the warn level automatically wears off after some time. But it's there long enough to remind you. If being an ass continues, it means more warns and in the end, a possible ban. 1 day to Permanent.
