Exception_Access_Violation when trying to run SOME of my custom story maps. [Solved] - SonOfLiberty796 - 10-13-2011

I'm guessing the stupid MapView.exe program crap messed up my maps. (Two of them)

What happens/happened was when I tried to view the map using the MapView.exe program thing, It would instantly go non-responsive and the program has to force close, as it "crashed". Now the maps I tried to view on the MapView program WONT work. They won't load.

This is when I try to load the Office map (one of them)

It looks like nothing is wrong...but it just doesn't want to load. A Pic is attached to this post.

It looks like your missing some particles. Or something went wrong when installing Amnesia.Try re-installing the editor. I've had the same problem except I ended up needing to reinstall my whole driver.

Apparently It didn't work. Now one other maps work while the other one working turned out to not work anymore....it mixes the maps up, by that i mean, some maps work, then sometimes they dont, but then other ones that didnt work, work. (confusing i know...)

This is something i need to get fixed IMMEDIATELY!!! Because I have to release my custom story, and I'm still not done with! :/

Are there any static objects or entities that aren't part of the original Amnesia set in your map?

Well some of them are the DLC (Justine) monsters, and some entities/static objects I had to edit.

Like I had to edit a wall to make it a entity, things like that.

I would suggest making a back up of the map and start removing the custom entities/objects that you made/edited one by one until the map works again. If you removed them all and it still crashes the game, then i'm not sure what to tell you.

Alright then.
Great, now more maps aren't working. And those ones don't even have any custom entities etc.

Man this pisses me off and makes me upset Sad why did this have to happen RIGHT when I'm about done with my Custom Story? And I promised to people that I would release it mid-october (about next week) and now I can't even run it?....this is ridiculous.

I'm almost losing hope. I bet it's some stupid damn error that is not fixable, and I lost ALL my work.
