My Game Wont Save - thatsnotsexy - 10-28-2011
Amnesia is having some hardcore amnesia. It is not saving any of my recent games. It is really disheartening because I would play for an hour or two then return without making any progress, and as scary as it is I would really love to finally finish it. I went to THQ for support but did not find any, so it would be great if anyone happened to have some sort of solution to my dilemma I would truly appreciate it.

Try to run the game as administrator. Also check that if there is an Amnesia folder under your Documents folder.

Ok I checked my documents and I have an Amnesia folder. How would I run it as administrator?

If on Vista or 7, right click the game > Run as Administrator

I right-clicked it and it did not give me that option. It just seems as though the game refuses to save, or the games that are saved are going to the wrong folder, which seems unlikely. I did a couple of tests of saving then checking the documents folder for Amnesia and non of the new saved games were there, nor were they there when I returned to the game. Maybe I should try re-installing it, although I'm not sure how that might solve my problem either

So I guess your operating system is Windows XP. Otherwise, the run as administrator command should be there.
Where did you install the game?

I'm going to try re-installing it and hope it works! By the way all my saved games are under "autosave" if that helps...
Where did you install the game?

it must be an operating system issue, the game does not cause such issues.

Good news, I found out it was the Sandbox causing the problem and once I turned it off, everything was fine. Thanks for all the advice and I cannot believe how simple the solution was lol

you were trying to run the game inside the sandbox? Of course that wouldn't work...
