Mouse Lag - djc23 - 07-04-2007

Hi just purchased this game after playing the demo (Ep 1 demo not the tech demo). The demo ran fine but the full version has some horrible mouse lag. Its just the mouse that lags and it happens in the starting menu too. If I move around with the keys it runs very smooth (I can bang into the lamp and have shadows moving etc and there is no slow down) but as soon as I use the mouse to look around it lags. I have tried many things including turning all the detail down (man it looksugly!), updating AND downgrading video drivers, updating mouse drivers, fiddling with various things in RivaTuner but to no avail. The demo doesn't even work properly anymore either.
I am very disheartened because I doubt you are going to be able to help me and I REALLY enjoyed the demo. Probably have to wait until I get a new computer. Sad

Oh Yeah my specs are
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual 3800+
2 GB RAM
GeForce 6600

Maybe get a new mouse? Or have you tested with another (If you have another)?

Yeah I've already tried another mouse. I suspect windows has just gone and screwed itself in some way since the demo worked fine last week.

Then you'll have to install Windows again. Or repair it.

I guess so. How do you go about repairing windows though?

RE: Mouse Lag - Yuhaney - 07-08-2007

If you have the Original installing CD for Windows, there supposed to be a repair option...
Or if it doesn't work, you can try harder way, copy every important files that you need out of hard-disc and delete the Windows with the CD and then install it again and then copy the files back.

There is one way...

Sorry!
Yeah I've fiddled the sensitivity settings with no success. Looks like I'll just have to repair/reinstall Windows since it DID work a week ago but now it doesn't. How does Penumbra work on Vista? I'll be upgrading when Bioshock comes out so maybe I'll see if Penumbra works then.

It works on Vista but make sure that you have latest graphic card drivers!
