Upside down - Grainger - 01-01-2012
So, I installed Amnesia The Dark Descent. Little problem, right from the start. Everything is upside down, except for candlelights and such. Really annoying. Googling lead me here and there.
I learned I have a ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 in a Dell Studio 17 Notebook. All over I read it could/should be fixed with a driver update for this graphic card. Well, I tried everything. Nothing helped, the whole Amnesia world is still upside down.
In another troubleshooting topic it stated that íf the above solution did not help, start a new topic with 3 points of importance, so here it goes.
I run a 32-bit Windows Vista on a Dell Studio 17 laptop, with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 graphic card.

I really hope someone has an answer for me so I can finally enjoy Amnesia with feet on the ground

Turn "Insanity" off in the graphics settings.
That gets rid of the bug, but on the other side: no insanity effects.

Hi there,
I already had insanity effects off, guessing it might ask too much from the graphic card but everything is still upside down. Even turning it off and on again didn't fix anything...

Uninstall your drivers and then reinstall the newest one. It may be possible that you forgot to uninstall the old drivers.

Thanks, I feel stupid. That's exactly what I forgot to do... Damn...
Roommate said to just click install instead of removing the previous driver.
All is well, Amnesia is nog right side up and already played a little. Already scared as hell...
