Rotting Prison: Chapter One - A Tricky Carnie - 01-08-2012

Hey guys, I just finished the first chapter of my new custom story, Rotting Prison, Chapter One.

The custom story can be found here:

The moddb page currently doesn't have any screenshots, but it does have a video showcasing most of the custom story (though some minor changes have been made since that video came out.)

I just got through playing the first chapter of your custom story and thought it was pretty good. Some of the rooms felt a little too big and empty. However that is probably what made it scary for me. There is something about huge cavernous spaces that always raise my hackles with alarm especially with the

hey, that was nice story.

i love moment in Torture chamber

that freaky beast running fast, and i was running over all rooms, then i reach the storage.
seems his pathnode endless, no?

bug - then i back from storage to chamber, where running moster live in, game crashes to desktop

if continue go on - no problems, but i wish to play with it once more, maybe Big Grin

anyway, i finished the map, and waiting for part 2. !!

Oh, I must have forgotten to do something with that door, I'll try to release a patch.

Very interesting and pretty enjoyable story.

But there are couple flaws I have to say:

- Simple large areas to run water monsters, kind of boring
- Large areas and empty rooms, in my opinion I like to fill stuff "entities like lamps, furnitures and almost everything little object"
- Fast paced, rushed.



It was good, Improve your next Chapter by these hints Smile

Is this your first mod? Becouse you didnt really put a lot work in it.
Theres to many loading screens, weird mapping design, but overall its not that bad.

Anyway im gonna upload a Lets play later on, so you can see where i had the glitch and rage quitet.

A few things:
In the room with the cages, the roof isn't covering all of it Tongue
In the big room with the blood, there's a random 'piece' of smoke that can be seen in the dark.

The monsters made me jump! I didn't realize what the key in the torture chambers was for, otherwise I probably ran for it. Now I hid and wished the monster away. Didn't work : (
I never saw the water monster, I was too busy running and peeing myself : P
I disagree that the loading screens are bad, since they only take 2 seconds. At least they did for me.
