Game Crashing - delusiv - 03-24-2012
I have just purchased Amnesia the dark decent and i have downloaded it and installed, then i run it and i get a blackbox thing with "Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module at 001B:00000000"
I went on support wbesite and downloaded the update 1.2 and ran it again and says same thing...and it also says
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:." Even thought i purchased and downloaded through online.
I don't know much about computers... i think my laptop is 64bit? idk..
please tell me how to fix i haven't even played it yet

From where did you buy the game? For the 1.2 update you need to download the appropriate from your retailer's site. The one here is for Frictional Games store buyers.
Anyway, for your problem we need more information. The problem is that you have no graphics card drivers installed. What exact laptop model do you have? Maybe we can find your specs this way...

Hey thanks for posting, i purchased the game from 'Gamers gate' and i did actually get the download from here...i will know download the patch from that side thanks, but here is my laptop model is: Dell Inspiron 1545, please tell me how i can solve the problem thanks

now I need to know the operating system. Go to start and type dxdiag. From there you can find such information.
