Three questions - HollowRiku13 - 04-17-2012 I've created a custom model in Google SketchUp 8 because I don't have Maya and SketchUp can export to .Dae, but when I try to open it with ModelView.exe to create the .msh it crashes with this error: I do not know if this helps but I have Windows 7 x64 bits. I've opened the hpl.log and there seems to be nothing related to this error. RE: Buffer overrun detected - DRedshot - 04-17-2012 Amnesia uses a specific type of .Dae which is called openCollada. It's likely that Google Sketchup doesn't have the ability to export to this type. Not sure, I'd have guessed they'd be the same, but openCollada might be a specific type of Collada format. Someone else will have to answer that Edit: Was the mesh triangulated before export? Or did the mesh have a really high polygon count? Same as the first post. 2. If anyone can send me the image under: redist/graphics/item/bone_saw via PM or this thread I would be very grateful, I made a mistake trying to do something, and well, save it by accident. 3. Another error: It occurs when I select a map, only one, the others are going well, it loads a little and then it crashes with this error. Here is the hpl.log: Spoiler below!
-Yes, it's a full conversion, so the HPL isn't the one under Amnesia/Main -The map has a weird name, like the other ones, which aren't shown here xD, this is to avoid errors of maps with the same names. RE: Three questions - Mine Turtle - 04-19-2012 the editors are twitchy. id recommend for you to make your models in maya, or 3ds max, and export them as .dae's from there. otherwise you might have some unwanted issues. there is a student version of maya avalible. its free of charge, with the exception that you may not sell your models or any other content made by it. hope this helps, i really wouldnt recommend sketchup, but if it works for you, its alright. i just recommend maya if you dont want to struggle with modeling. ^^ RE: Three questions - HollowRiku13 - 04-19-2012 I figured out the first one, now, I need help on the other 2 questions.
