@ MrAurora. This game is NOT the ''less scary'' game being developed by Frictional games, that game has not yet been announced. This is mainly the product of the chinese room and will surely be just as scary as the first Amnesia.
@ SgtYayap. No it doesn't run on HPL3

I've made a concept art of what the monster could look like.

I loved the teaser!

I think it's great that there are some outdoor sections. Reminds me somewhat of the Call of Cthulhu: DCOTE. And I like how you guys use shadow and light when the monster appeared.
One more thing. The crucified pig corpse - lol; whose idea was that?

P.S. You should have more than 2 monster types - the fact that the monsters are relatively rare in the game makes the variety stand out all the more, especially if in a later scene there are several enemies seen at once (the ambush part in one of the final levels of Amnesia:TDD); but, not too many, of course - you don't want to waste time and money on something that the game and the story don't really benefit from. As always, it's a question of balance. Big Grin
I think it's a subtle way to make the world more believable. Plus, you can use the different models and maybe some model-specific animations (of the same monster type) as a storytelling tool. I liked the idea that the monsters of the original amnesia were "remodeling" the bodies they found themselves in according to some twisted standard of their own. Too bad we never got to walk in on one while doing this "remodeling" - that would be rather disturbing, if done right. Now's your chance.

I loved Amnesia: The Dark Descent plot and climat =)
When I saw title "Amnesia: Machine for Pigs Teaser" I was extremely happy that I can make the journey once again. Through shadows and scary monsters. Can't wait, Amnesia is the best horror game for me.

I hope you'll give more informations, screens soon Wink Great job.

I loved this trailer for the new Amnesia game. I can't wait to crap myself again! Anyway I made a analysis video of the teaser showcasing some possible hints/new features from what we have currently seen. Check it out here if you have not seen it yet:

Enjoy!

Nice vid Smile

@Frictional:
A good chance too add a few thoughts to my previous post: for the models being reused from the previous game (crates, tables, carpets, etc), you should invest some time into polishing the textures a bit - a good texture can have a significant impact on visuals, and Amnesia could benefit from that (generally, they should be a bit less saturated - not the rendered game itself, or the lighting effects, but the texture maps, and they could be somewhat more realistic - use photo-references).
For that job, find someone with a good eye, in your team, or from a 3rd party.

Also, given that the context of the new game is different, you can even completely replace some of the old textures for something that's designed specifically for this game, while utilizing the same old models.

Anyway, good luck, can't wait. Big Grin
