These are a few of my ACTUAL PHOBIAS. I happen to be a person who gets terrified of things that seem impractical to me -- granted, this doesn't happen with most impractical things. Most of the things on this list, I am horrified of, it is sad but true.

I absolutely despise centipedes, millipedes, or any creature with an absurd number of legs. Seeing them makes my skin crawl and my blood go cold. I'm not even sure why, there's just something so immensely horrifying about creatures with so many legs.
I also really, really hate worms. Almost as much as I hate centipedes. Seeing those things squirming around just makes me feel like some long slimy creature is going to burrow into my body and infect it like a parasite.
That said, I also suffer from some pretty mainstream phobias, like holes, heights, blood, black people, etc.

I fear everything that has a risk.
Airplanes, snakes, alcohol...
Though it's not a strong fear... I drink alcohol, but i'm afraid of getting too drunk, because you always hear stories...
I guess i'm easy to manipulate.
It's correct that it's a bigger risk to crash in a car, but you also drive a lot more in a car!
You can also survive a car-crash (I did), but if the plane crashes then it's not likely for you to survive.
Snakes... well i just don't like them... Just look at it! And there's a LOT of snakes who a poisonous!
But stuff like balancing on something high, or stuff like that, which has a risk if i fall... I'm afraid of it...

I'm afraid of the dark(only within a house, I don't mind walking around at night as long as it's outside of any buildings...), supernatural creatures (hey, the best condition to play Amnesia! But still I love that game), fish with sharp teeth (however I don't mind any other animal with sharp teeth...) and serious illnesses...
