I enjoy the Shadow as a concept but I don't think it was executed very well. I expected some dark presence but it manifested more as bright light and red goop. I don't know, that was a bit odd to me. It worked as a motivator to keep going but that's it.

RE: What is your favorite monster? (SPOILERS) - Diz - 02-21-2013

I liked its subtle presence after having read the notes and diary entries, as its presence slightly intensified along the way. For instance, before the game starts, it did not even leave a presence at all, while toward the ending of the game, you can actually feel as if it takes more of a physical form chasing you. ^^

I agree, though. I wish there was a little more to it, and since A Machine For Pigs is said to be building upon the same universe, I personally believe we will see more of this horrifying presence, perhaps even learn some new answers regarding it. I cannot wait. ;)

Probably the brute, because of the one big level with the pillars.. What's it called, the choir? The one with the brazen bull.
It's scary because when you hear the noise when it sees you, you don't know where it's coming from. In other levels it's easier to tell where they are coming from.
That level was extra scary because I never knew you could just follow the pipes. I just walked around there for hours pissing myself.
The Justine one in the water is pretty scary too, though in both cases it's more because of the situation than the monster itself.
I think the brute and suitors are more scary than the grunt because I know the grunt won't kill me in one hit. Therefore I sometimes have the guts to try and run past it.

Because she is a psychopath French girl Angel
Did you see the movie of which the story was based it was pretty gruesome with she being a prostitute to keep afloat.

RE: What is your favorite monster? (SPOILERS) - Yare - 04-02-2013

Brute. Mainly because of his sounds that made me want to kill myself, when I played Amnesia for the first time. I like design of his face (or rather no face) and love the music when he chases me. Grunt is more comical. Both his look and sounds he makes. He is scary only thanks to Amnesia's atmosphere. Suitor got creepy appearance but sounds are not really impressive. His ability to talk also makes him less terryfing for me. I feel more scared, when monsters have nothing to say, they just want to kill you.

The grunt.
