One thing is concerning me though. Fortifying? What is this? Blocking a door with other objects. That doesn't really work, since it's a game. The door will not be harder to open by blocking it, since the monster is smashing it.
The monster does not have a hard time getting past the blockade, since he is an enemy and it is all a game. Weight does not play a role in the game, except for when the player holds an object, or when the object falls. Monsters are not affected of weight. Therefore he'd just go through the blockade.
Then you would sit there thinking about all the time you wasted using the boxes to block the door.

Instead you could have used them to create a house of boxes around yourself. If you play with the editor and monsters you'll see that if the monster cannot see you, he'll forget you. So if you're unable to see his head, he is unable to see you. Unless of course you're standing next to him, jumping behind his back.



IMO, fortifying is not something that works.
