It sounds like it's handicapped version of 'console gaming'.

Quote:OS: Windows Vista, Processor: 2.0 Ghz core i5 CPU or equivalent, Memory: 2 GB RAM, Graphics: Mid-range NVIDIA GeForce 3x0 / ATI Radeon HD 5x00. Integrated Intel HD Graphics should work but is not supported; problems are generally solved with a driver update. Hard Drive: 5 GB available space

are you serious? they said that they would also optimized to run on computers with low specs.

RE: New AAMFP Screenshots AND RELEASE DATE + PRE-ORDER! (16.8.2013) - plutomaniac - 08-16-2013

Intel HD is low spec since it can be found at pretty much every modern Intel cpu. I guess that if it still requires OpenGL 2.1 then everything that worked for Amnesia will also work for pigs. Some exceptions exist though. For example, some borderline graphics card will not work due to extremely low performance.

I don't get what Nvidia 3x0 is. 3x0 was a laptop chipset line, not a desktop one. It went from the 200 to 400/500/600 and now 700 series cards.

False information.
It does have 4$ sale.

+ it's DRM free.

Yeah, but it's still 16$. I guess I'll just rephraze that.

Well I was at most of the poem discoveries and filled my email in a couple of times though it must've been bugged back than as it only said email then showed a 0.
Well sad that I didn't get it for free but hey BUYING!

Did anybody else notice the Gog pre-order link says that the download size is 4.9GB (I consider that is non compressed)
That is quite big even if you were to pack it compactly that would still be about 3GB of course it isn't really big or anything just bigger than Penumbra and Amnesia TDD where.(300, 400, 300, 700) MB packed

Well, everything seemed good in my case, don't know why I haven't got that email yet. That's bad, I spent about 13 hours during the last letter event, seems like it was usless Sad

RE: New AAMFP Screenshots AND RELEASE DATE + PRE-ORDER! (16.8.2013) - Sakonosolo - 08-16-2013

So why exactly are the requirements so high? I realize Amnesia is a PC game and thus can take advantage of higher end hardware but Amnesia was never a game that really pushed stuff like this. But AMfP has higher requirements than most games that come out these days.

RE: New AAMFP Screenshots AND RELEASE DATE + PRE-ORDER! (16.8.2013) - Googolplex - 08-16-2013

No matter what it costs, I will buy it very gladly. Amnesia is a masterpiece, for what money is worth to get spent.

I mean why are people talking about the price? EA solds bullshit for 50 Euros and everybody is buying. So let's be lucky that we will get a fantastic game for under 20 Euros! And DRM-free!!!

RE: New AAMFP Screenshots AND RELEASE DATE + PRE-ORDER! (16.8.2013) - Statyk - 08-16-2013

They also don't run the same engine as the other games. Different engines require different specs depending on how it was developed. This bit of rise in specifications didn't surprise me at all.

And no one is complaining about the price at all googol. They're talking about how it's on sale on gog when the original poster said it wasn't, that's all.
