RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - TheWalshinator - 11-30-2013 Something for a project I'm 'a working on RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Traggey - 11-30-2013 That's a crazy ammount of Polygons for the face, not a game res model? RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Ghieri - 11-30-2013 @Walshinator: Go go gadget Slender arm? I had to sculpt it a bit even after retopology, and I needed to use multi-res modifier so that the polygons weren't AS obvious (you should have seen it before), and it's going to be used in Unity rather than HPL (11-30-2013, 06:04 AM)Ghieri Wrote: @Walshinator: Go go gadget Slender arm? XD RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Traggey - 11-30-2013 Being used in unity is no reason to smack up the polycount, no real difference. Just saying, for a static face that most likely won't even be animated, that's WAAY too many polygons. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - WALP - 11-30-2013 Even if its aimed at blender users theres quite a lot of generally useful normal mapping info in this one, so I definitely recommend it to anyone here doing game assets. Also on the padding thing, gimp users can use this plugin:http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114616 one of my test was not exactly flawless though so if you have acces to photoshop I recommend using that instead. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Traggey - 11-30-2013 So I gave him a shot myself, Zremesher went a bit crazy on the polycount around the ears and I'm too lazy to fix it, but yeah, use this as a bit of a guide! RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - palistov - 11-30-2013 Not as much as you hate Blender. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Traggey - 11-30-2013 That is true. |
