A Machine for Pigs - Slaughterhouse [DEMO] - KiraImmortal - 10-06-2014

THIS MOD IS FOR THE GAME MACHINE FOR PIGS, you'll need it, not TDD to play it. The reason that i'm posting it here that it's quite unusual that someone releases a mod not for TDD, but AMFP, but most players are gathered here to watch upcoming releases. You will find instructions for installation and playing in the readme file.

We all have to pay for the sins we've commit.
We used God's plans to our own goals, now this is our punishment: the terrible horrors that now haunt this place.
We built this fake church, this radiant deception.. We made them believe.

A custom story like project for the sequel of Amnesia TDD,
keeping the atmosphere of the original game, but focuses
more on terror and solving harder puzzles.

The Demo Version provides:
- 3 maps randomly chosen from the ones that the final version will contain
- 30-40 minutes of gameplay
- Many puzzles and monster encounters
- A new, modified menu design
- English and Hungarian language

Unfortunatly...
UNPLAYABLE for me..
Every asset is upsidedown \ HUGH \ small \ misplaced..
Damn!
Any solution to this?
Did everything you mentioned in the readme.. was very simple tho..
Looks very promising but yea.. not like this!

You've done something wrong, works fine on my end.

That first level though.. geez. That pig in the bath, I must have checked it half a dozen times to make sure it was still there and not trying to kill me ;O

Just a few things:
Spoiler below!

- Think your lang file has some issues, or the main_init isn't pointing to it, or you have notes which have nothing written on them. Probably the latter, as I could see the messages such as "I heard a clank. What could it have been?" or something along the lines.
- It took me a while to find my way into that locked room. Could just be myself though. Don't know if you could make it any more obvious without killing immersion or making it too easy.
- There's a mirror in the pig bath room which you can see through into the skybox. Don't know if that is intentional.
- I would argue there is a pointless lamp under a table in the starting room. When I mean pointless, it can stay there, but probably as a static object.
- There is a picture of a sheep to the right of the level door, which has some form of interactivity, but has no output as far as I can tell.

But the positives:
- God, THAT ENVIRONMENT. <3 There's a statue which scared me three times because I forgot where it was.
- The sound effects add to the whole claustrophobic sense, made me think there was always something coming or behind me.
- The objects are well placed. There's room, not much room, and the place is well filled and decaled.
- I don't even want to know what happened at the end of that game of poker. Felt sorry for the two gentlemen however.
- Puzzles. Beautiful. Not exactly original, but well done. I found one of the two level door levers by sheer luck however, I would expect them to be revealed in the notes or something. I won't spoil its location.

And that, was just the first level.
I'll play through the rest tomorrow, as I said. Smile Looking forward to it!

Lazzy Luzzer likes what you have done, judging by the summary and screenshots. Unfortunately, I can't test it out now or tomorrow, but surely will play through this on friday.
