Um...
Apparently Amnesia already has a .pdb file?
Not sure what to do.

You were supposed to replace it and then rerun the game but forget about that. We think the problem lies with plugged in gamepad controllers. Even a forgotten USB on the back of the computer could cause this. Do you have a controller on your system?

EDIT > Please check this temporary fix that should solve your problem:

I do not use a controller. I play Amnesia with a keyboard.

Here is the error log.

If the fix does not help then you are having a different problem. Most probably some background program/service it interfering with the game. Check the troubleshooting guide for a short list of some known programs that may cause issues. There are bound to be more though so you need to manually disable everything in the background and try again.

I disabled all backgrounds. Game still crashes.

You mentioned that the game used to work before the update so it's probably that causing the crash. Are you sure you applied the FIX correctly? You should be prompted to overwrite 2 files (Amnesia.exe & Amnesia.pdb).

OK! Amnesia is working now. But now the level editor(s) won't open.

RE: Amnesia Crash - plutomaniac - 12-15-2014

There is a new version available for download which is compatible with the latest update.
