Major Crash - Ryonez - 05-13-2010
Hi I just brought the Penumbra Collection, I have installed it and made sure that my drivers are up to date.
Whenever I start Overture (and I tried to start Black plague once too) my computer just frease's up and does nothing. I have tried to use compatablety options and that does not work as well.
My Specs,
Win 7 x64 Professional
ATI HD4850 with CCC 10.4
CPU: Dual Core AMD x64 +5200 (2.7Ghz)

Go to My Documents/Penumbra Overture/Episode1/ and take the hpl.log, zip it and upload here please.

Thanks for the prompt response.
Setting video mode: 800 x 600 - 32 bpp
That looks way to low, I use 1280x1024.

Ah, go to the installation directory of the game, then into redist/config and open default_settings.cfg in a text editor, the find <screen where you will have width and height specified as 800 and 600, change that to 1280 and 1024, save and see if you can start the game.

I tried it in widowed mode first (it worked) then changed it to fullscreen and changed the res. It now loads up fine.
