I pre-ordered from Frictional during the 50% off sale. Do I need to email the staff in order to get a Steam activation code, or should I not worry about it until after the game releases?

Thank you. I'm sorry that the question was redundant, but at the time of preorder, it was thought that we would need to email them to receive a Steam code. I'm glad that they now have a more elegant solution in place.
Where will we log in? You didn't specify that in your post.

I've tried to activate Penumbra on steam using the key provided by Frictional Games (found on http://shelf.frictionalgames.com/) and i'm getting "Invalid Product Code". Why it happens???

That is the serial code to activate the download of Penumbra Collection, it has nothing to do with Steam. They haven't made Steam codes available for Penumbra, and as far as I know they are only doing that for Amnesia.

Why would you need a 10% discount on the steam store pre-order? you get one here at the frictional store, plus a Steam activation. Even then, this game is worth every bit of full price.
