I expect Penumbra to be like a first-person 3D escape the room game. Well it already is really.

Well I AM hoping Overture will be a little bit less scripted with an iron clad grip and a little bit more emergent/freeform. Things like barracading doors should just be part of the gameplay - not a solution to a puzzle. IMO the heavy scripted nature of it kind of clashes with their efforts towards extreme immersion. Anyway, the screenshots have given me a lot of hope for this, but who can say for sure, right?

Yeah you're right about the scripts vs interactivity. but I think the scripts cater for multiple solutions.

I think the game is going to be a great horror/adventure game. It's fps but not like all the other ones out right now which are all similiar in gameplay. For me the only games im looking forward to are this, half life 2 episode 2, and portal.
