It's a bit hard to understand how brilliant a game is, if you've never played it . So I can understand that some people are not sure whether they will like this game or not. This game is unlike anything I've played before. Don't get me wrong, I love this game. But I wasn't sure about that before I bought it. RE: Should I buy this game? - flcn27 - 11-04-2010 Spoiler warning! I completed the Archives section. No monsters and no real scares at all. I just entered the Wine Cellar and had to quit after the tutorial message "Make sure to hide when enemies are near", lol XD. I'll continue tomorrow or this weekend :p. I really have to gather courage to continue playing. RE: Should I buy this game? - hollowleviathan - 11-04-2010 Five hours to beat Penumbra Overture and Black Plague? On the first playthrough? Overture took me 11 hours, and Black Plague took me 7. (Amnesia took 12). I sure love that Steam keeps track of that for me. That's for someone who never played any of the Frictional Games' games. I've never played Penumbra series till two years ago. I didn't know anything about them. I can understand. But people after playing Penumbra series... blah. I'm glad you bought and enjoyed it. That's my wish for everyone. RE: Should I buy this game? - flcn27 - 11-06-2010 I've got another question! I'm almost ready to take the elevator but I'm trapped in a room between two monsters (storage area, on my way back). Can I just wait for a couple of minutes for them to disappear? I tried to escape and hide but when I turned around he was right behind me . EDIT: I tried to lure him to me by throwing some items but it didn't work. So I'm stuck now. RE: Should I buy this game? - nofsky - 11-06-2010 Try running for your life RE: Should I buy this game? - flcn27 - 11-06-2010 It worked, lol I ran past him and managed to reach the door to the next area! I'm now in the Prison level but I"ll continue tomorrow. Thanks xD RE: Should I buy this game? - BulletInTheHart - 11-06-2010 (11-06-2010, 04:22 PM)flcn27 Wrote: It worked, lol I ran past him and managed to reach the door to the next area! Thanks xD And here I was hoping that there would be no more monsters in the rest of this game I disabled "insanity" because of the "upside down screen bug" but now I read on this forum that this game is better if you have insanity active. I didn't really miss it though. |
