Meant to get back to you on this, Everything worked out fine and I can use my controller again. Don't know if the issue will be one I'll see again later, but for now on my new system this issue is...resolved? of sorts

New system? Is it a different machine? Perhaps that implies that there are driver changes that enables it to work now.

I tried it on my new laptop. The issue was on my old laptop.
