Amneisa: The Dark Descent/Penumbra Series/Next Frictional Game to come to Xbox 360?? - RawkBandMan - 05-22-2011
Hey guys, I know I'll get lots of hate, but I found something.
On the blog, they said they wanted a programer. In the things they want them to do, they said this.
Console development (most likely Xbox 360).
So does this mean they may port one of their games, OR the next Frictional Game may come to Xbox 360?
Give me your thoughts.

My Thoughts: I hope Amnesia gets ported. I have a WHOLE bunch of friends who want to play Amnesia, but don't own good computers, but own PS3's, Xbox's, etc.
I would also buy it, just to play it with good graphics (My Video Card sucks so Amnesia looks pretty crappy on my PC)

I wouldn't say it would be Xbox exclusive. I'd say that it would be released for both PC/Mac/Linux and Xbox 360.

No way the next game. Maybe the next of the next but again, I don't think so. Good for them. So many games I haven't played because of this idiotic XBOX 360 Exclusive message. I love games that are always made for pc like Need for speed, Assasssins Creed, The Witcher, Frictional Games etc. I also used to like really much Halo series but after the 2nd installment, everything else is XBOX 360 F@$%^df Exclusive.

I can't see how the Xbox controls can mimic the functions of a mouse. Aside from that, it's good that they're exploring console ports; I just doubt it will have anything to do with Penumbra or Amnesia.

The functions of a mouse. You mean like the analog sticks move the cursor/camera around? Give both console gamers and Frictional Games some credit, they both know how to do their thing. Frictional is not afraid to release and support many different OSes, Xbox360 is just one more. They're using the success of Amnesia to build their team and reach. I applaud their goals and eagerly await all of their games, and finally able to suggest them to friends who do not play on the PC.

Old games are finished and it's highly unlikely for them to be ported. Frictional is working on their next game and if there will be a console release, it will be for their next game.

Yes, porting them would be a good idea, even though I dont own an xbox or an PS3. Could get the devs more money and more controllers broken.
