Interacting With Ladders - Simpanra - 04-06-2011
This may sound like a stupid question, and it may well be, but how do i make it so i can interact with a ladder in my custom story? I have placed a ladder on a ledge which is approximately a foot off the ground and the ladder is leant at an angle of 3 degrees against the wall. I have tried rotating the ladder so i can attempt climbing either side of it but this bore no fruit. I just can't climb the ladder, it doesn't even claim i can interact with it. If you are wondering what ladder i am using it is the 4m tile-able ladder in the entities tab. I hope someone can explain this to me =)

Place an Area with the type being Ladder and make it large enough to go past the ladder model.

I have used a ladder area and it still wont work =( I have made the ladder area the same size as the ladder and i have tried climbing the ladder from both directions, i have made it so it is standing perfectly upright and still nothing, why is this? =(

Should work, make the area bigger then? Big enough to hold the player and the ladder.

The Ladder Area should NOT collide with any object around it.
Place the area in FRONT of the ladder.
Move the area at least '0.1' away from the ladder.
It should work then fine.
