Half Life reference??? (question for the admins) - Creep Deadson - 04-12-2007 Was that crowbar a reference to Half Life? It says the name on it is "freeman" as in "Gordon Freeman" from Half Life, and the crowbar in Half Life is certainly a trademark of the game. I thought maybe it was a nod to other game from you guys as fans. RE: Half Life reference??? (question for the admins) - SirRaven - 04-12-2007 Yeah I thought that was no doubt an homage to Half Life, even though the note from the backpack mentions his name is <something else> freeman. RE: Half Life reference??? (question for the admins) - Thaliur - 04-12-2007 The Penumbra crowbar belonged to John-O and Joe Freeman, but I'm pretty sure it was aimed at Half-Life. A game in which you play a scientist and find a crowbar just has to somehow connect to that |
