Just re-download the latest version 1.3.1 of the game. There is no serial needed anymore. It's recommended anyway to have the "Justine" expansion and the latest fixes.

I would say the best Lovecraft inspired adaptions are "Sátántángo", "Werckmeister Harmonies" and "The Turin Horse" by Béla Tarr. Audiovisual masterpieces about human desolation very deep into the soul...

The idea behind "Crimson Peak" was brillant. I like the classical gothic horror style, but unfortunately the movie failed to be horror for me. The CGI-ghosts are laughable and generally I'm not a fan ...

Yes, but Guillermo del Toro actually released also garbage like "Mama" or "Crimson Peak". But I like "Pan's Labyrinth", "The Orphanage" and one of my best faforites is "Julia's Eyes".

"Goodnight Mommy" is not one of the movies that scares you with bodies or monsters. It's the story and what happens there. This movie isn't even "scary", rather the horror is a much deeper psychologic...

Windows 10 is not bad, but as I said you should have modern hardware. You also should make a fresh installation from DVD and use the Anniversary build 14393 (1607).
