No Amnesia Folder

Nope. The Amnesia game icon pops onto the dock and almost immediately disappears.

Could you have perhaps disabled the crash reporter? The fact that the demo version does run, and the steam version doesn't implies that Steam is the culprit. As the game code up to the point where that folders and log are created is identical between the builds. (absolutely identical)

It's possible.

I decided to try removing Steam again. I removed the app and the contents of the Steam folder. I download Steam fresh and downloaded Amnesia again. I must have missed some data when I cleared Steam before because Amnesia is working now. Wish I could tell you what the specific cause was.

You can also try completely deleting the amnesia the dark descent folder inside of the SteamApps folder and have steam re-download Amnesia. Also try the Amnesia demo to see if it works correctly.

i cant figure out how to have steam re download it
