Do you have limited amount of saved locations?

I wanted to show my mom something, the ending of the game being I find it disturbing. Thing is, I played the beginning again, and found out that the saved slot for the ending was removed.
It seems like you can't save every location. Is this a bug or what? It sure would be nice to have certain locations saved for good, in case you want to replay that particular place.

You have to 'favorite' the actual save.
They likely did it to conserve memory. Each time you move an object, even one inch, the game saves it's location forever for that save.

can they ALL be saved into favorites or is that limited too?
