RE: Screenshot criticism thread

k victorkim lemme give you a long critique of stuff for that video
Spoiler below!
Not all of this stuff is bad, some is just opinions.
-The door locking behind you is super overused and is a bit frustrating of a plot device
-Having trees directly outside the window doesn't really make sense, why would someone put a window if there's a tree in front of it. You have to think of these things like a real-life place
-I really like the windows to the upper room, that's a really cool feel.
-The big room with the hanging Alexander painting is really empty, remember the dining room in the original? It was full of tables and desks and piano stuff, you need to make these places seem like they've been lived in.
-In the hallway with a lot of windows, you can see the back of another room's window from outside and it's just kinda clipping. You should add a backside to it so it doesn't look glitchy.
-Saying "the bible has the-key-answer" is blatantly obvious. You should at least make it sort of a puzzle by having it say like, "The bible is the key" or "the bible has the solution". Don't just write the answer in between words and expect people to think they've solved a puzzle.
-Stop throwing naked people out of doors
-You might want to wait a little longer before introducing the monsters and doing big jumpscares
-It's still a pretty cool map, you just need to detail it and maybe try to make it a bit less cliche

I could make a list about what to fix...
but Dakota I think already done that so I honestly don't give a shit.

It does need alot of improvement though...

RE: Screenshot criticism thread

There are two things you should fix in that if you're making a serious map. There are lots, but I think the two predominant ones:

1) A boxlight. Get one. There are places with far too many lights, but have dark spots. Get yourself a global boxlight or work the pointlights.

2) Get rid of the teleporting naked guys. Seriously. That era is gone.

Looking good. Maybe add a sofa on the opposite side of the windows if you can? c:

Alright. Post another picture when you're all done. It looks interesting. The outside env. gives the corridor a nice warm feel.
