It doesn't, yes. But I like to believe so.
Why would it just end..?

You're not the only one. Even though I am a rocket scientist, I still have the tendency to get confused.

Now, let me re-route the photonic energy for my research.

Infrequently active. Don't expect an immediate response. Best to contact me at a different locale. If I create a thread, expect me to be quite active.

What if the universe is like a sphere? You can never go in a straight line due to spacetime and you will always and up doing circles (kind of).

•I have found the answer to the universe and everything, but this sign is too small to contain it.

Geoid shaped, like Earth? Well, you'd do circles in that case.

Also how can something infinite expand? It is already infinite.

We don't even know if it is infinite in the first place.

Yes, but I must mention here that we are talking about SPACETIME + other dimensions we do not even understand (not just space like Earth) so given that and the size of the universe we could never see any "curverture".

I made the hypothesis that it is infinite and I end up with this "paradox".

OK let's take it from the start.

Suppose that the universe is infinite. (We take it as fact even though it might not be true)

This means that something that it is infinite it is expanding (doesn't make sense).

This is something like Reductio ad absurdum technique in mathematics.

RE: Time?

BAndrew,

How can you say it's infinite if your theory says it's sphere-like.
Take word "Space" as an example. If you start your journey from S and end it in E, that would mean it has a start and end. You would just start the circle again from S and end it again into E.
In this case, it's not infinite. It's just doing circles.
