RE: Quick question about system requirements.

The requirements are a bit strange:

1. There is no Core i5 with 2,0 GHz.
2. Will it also run very well on a Core i3 or a traditional Core 2 Duo.
3. The GeForce 300 graphics cards are not for the mainstream. The successor of 200 was 400 series.
4. Will it also run on a GTX 260 or 8800 GTX.
5. No Windows XP support?

Would you be able to say if there will be a demo at all? I need to see how well it runs as well.

Most likely yes. Every other game released thus far have had a demo version.

I'm sure a demo will be released later. The devs shouldn't waste their time with a demo - let them concentrate on the main game to polish it.

RE: Quick question about system requirements.

Googolplex is actually right. The requirements are wrong, don't make sense. I highly doubt that an i5 is needed for the Pigs. Generally, wrong requirements.

RE: Questions about System Requirements

Hey Guys. Im new here Smile
To be serious, i just logged in here because of one question... Well now im here and maybe it will be pretty nice.

When i first saw the Requirements... I became really sad and was about to detonate. I mean... i5-i7 CPU? I got a i3 Intel Core Computer and TDD ran well. And now i waited for this game and this happens? I would be really happy if there would be a demo soon, so i can test Undecided
Oh god i dont want to imagine how sad i will be when i cant play that game. I dont want to watch Youtubers all the time.

(PS: My first post, hooray!)

The question that will never be answered:
SOMA WHY ARE YOU SO BEAUTIFUL? ;_;

I know, a bit off-topic, but, where are the messages I posted here, pluto? In my opinion, they respected the forum rules and the thread's topic...

Ditto. I think the minimum requirements provided may not be accurate (or maybe they are!) and thus good for discussion and speculation. I disagree with the criticism for no XP support (about which I already wrote out and was deleted. Basically that 40% number is primarily due to the lack of business/corporate switching to new OS and is particularly irrelevant to casual-to-serious PC gamers). Holding onto an OS that is 12 years old with the idea "it ain't broke so don't fix it" unnecessarily restrains development of future software and computer components. If someone wants to use XP (by choice and not by lack of options at your job), more power to you but as the years go by, "your" [general you] complaints mean less and less to me.

RE: Questions about System Requirements

Because you are off-topic. Whether Windows XP is old and must be replaced has nothing to do with the troubling requirements of Amnesia AMFP. I made a seperate thread about it and moved these posts to off-topic.

RE: Questions about System Requirements

Moved the Windows XP discussion as it is off-topic here: http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-22461.html

Also, I'll lock this topic and Jens can unlock it if he wants to answer. Basically, the requirements seem wrong, maybe some typos?
