Tried everything and STILL crashes
Hey all!
I bought Amnesia yesterday on steam (£6.50, how could I not haha Big Grin)
I installed it and it brought up the preparing to start box, then went and nothing
I opened Amnesia.exe as an admin, then the screen went black and then it crashed, giving an error message (attached below). I've tried everything on the troubleshooting guide, but nothing works.
I have also attached the hpl.log.
If it helps, I'm using an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 with Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks in advance.

Try not using full screen and see if that makes it work, it crashes really early on in the startup so guessing a problem with the screen resolution

RE: Tried everything and STILL crashes
I have tried every screen resolution from 1600 x 900 to 800 x 600, but it still crashes.
As for not running it in full screen, I haven't been able to open it to change this setting, and I'm not the most technologically advanced person ever. How do I change this without opening the game?
If you meant changing it from within the game menu, I can't, so is there anything else I can try?
Thanks for the help though.

Maybe my memory is flawed but isn't there an option for full screen in the Launcher?

RE: Tried everything and STILL crashes
I've tried opening Launcher.exe and Amnesia.exe, and I haven't been able to get any kind of menu up whatsoever.
When I run launcher, nothing happens (it appears under task manager, then disappears), when I run Amnesia, I get the error message.

Post the launcher.log file from My Documents/Amnesia/

Have you tried updating the drivers for the graphics card by downloading latest version from ati.com?

I did check about my drivers an I know I have the latest ones.
It won't let me attach the launcher.log as apparently it is 0kb in size, and completely empty when I open it.

RE: Tried everything and STILL crashes
I've just updated my drivers to ATI's newest (released yesterday) and still it crashes on startup, and the launcher file is still empty. What can I do now?

I haver also attached a screenshot from my dxdiag display tab, if that helps :/
