RE: Linux Beta Demo and Feedback (Beta3)
Is anyone having trouble with Widescreen support in the Linux demo? I've been able to edit the configuration file with a text editor and add "1440x900" for the full, Win. version of Penumbra on my HDD with Windows XP.

I installed the Linux Penumbra Demo in my home directory with all permissions. I tried changing "800x600" to "1440x900" in the Linux demo and it doesn't change anything when I run the game. I can change the resolution in game to any setting, exit, and reload the game that resolution. I wonder how that information is being stored...

Windows XP SP2/Ubuntu 7.04 "Feisty Fawn"
3.2 GHz Pentium IV
800 MHz FSB
1 GB DDR RAM
GeForce 7800GS AGP
60 GB SATA 7200 RPM x2 (RAID 0)
120 GB SATA 7200 RPM

Try downloading the final 1.0.1 demo from penumbra-overture.com and see if it works with that release.

If not, post to the new linux support forum
