Tip what I have studied from last month:

Do not keep all of it yourself (creation, etc). If you have partners who maybe just test your map from scratch or watch how you create it, they may give you so amazing suggestions that you feel sometimes yourself stupid that you didn't think about it. They also tend to notice bugs what you do not notice.

Let's not forget suggestions and ideas. I really love those few people who have helped me out lately a lot. Creating story alone isn't so much fun as when you do it with someone else.
