Actually, what would be awesome is if there is a hallway with an unexpected dead end. You pass by a vaguely odd looking wall, nothing happens. When you get to a point you can see it's a dead end, the wall is replaced by a complex version... A Grunt model spliced together with the wall model. Yep, it'll be hard to do, but imagine a wall coming right at you. You gotta make him turn to pass, and you get redirected to where he was blocking.

Sounds pretty stupid, actually...
