you mean more in the sense of melodic death metal? (children of bodom, in flames, etc...)
lim now listening to Fledh an the power it holds (i was like lol 8 mins :p)
they are pretty good any other suggestions?

dunno what tremolo picked riggs are but blast beats are cool :p
and about the vocals...well it depends, sometimes they cant do it any other way
its not like the vocalist of slayer (that king dude) who screams like a woman

Yeah I would say they were an influence on Children of Bodom etc. And I don't mind blast beats either it's just boring when the drummer does it the whole way (or most or the way) through the song. In fact all those things I mentioned have there place but some bands rely on them too much.
