Please help me fix this game

Let me start by telling you I know absolutely nothing about computer gaming. This was the first game I have ever purchased that wasnt a hidden object. Please help me figure this out because I dont know what else to do. I bought this game yesterday and the very begining went great until it asked me to create a profile, as soon as it hit that screen it got stuck and wouldnt budge. I read through the troubleshooting guide and made some changes but it is still not running correctly. The scenes drag, they go all black, the mouse is always is 30 seconds behind, all in all- I turned it off after 2 minutes.
Okay, here's my comp info and everything I did trying to make this game work:
Ok, I have Windows 7 home premium, 64 bit , and DirectX 11.0
1. I upgraded my Nvidia, Here are the specs on that:
Geforce 6150SE nForce 430
Driver version is 285.62
I turned the vertical sync off
This is the info I entered into the game itself:
Resolution 1024x768
texture quality Low
Shadow quality Low
Shadow resolution Medium
texture filter Billinear
SSAO,edgesmooth, and world reflection are off
anistrophy Off
SSAO resolution Medium
SSAo samples 16
Parallax Off
Please help...
