Penumbra Black plague __Infected monster

I do not believe that the Infected in Black Plague can be killed under normal cirmustances. I have heard that there is a glitch in Black Plague that lets you kill an Infected, but I do not how to perform it.

There is one opportunity to kill an Infected (without using a glitch) in Black Plague.
