I certainly didn't picture him as some Zombie Grey, does anyone else have a problem with the fact that Clarence sounds the same in the zombie body as he does when inside your head?

Well, he sounds exactly the same for a reason. If he sounded just like the other zombies then it would be kind of anti-climactic I think.
