Telling if Amnesia is pirated from HPL.log

I was wondering how you can tell that a copy of Amnesia: The Dark Descent is pirated from the HPL.log file. I have once seen Jens close a thread for pirate maintnance after somebody gave the HPL.log file. I am just wondering what you look for to tell.

Obviously this should stay a secret since otherwise pirates remove the signature and can't be identified anymore.
