Solved: 8 Years, 2 Months ago Sad  Game will only start on some resolutions and then it own't load

My pc specs: Desktop running windows 8, 16 GB DDR3 Ram, 7850 Graphics Card with 2 GB Video memory, core i3 processor with 3.3 ghz clock speed, and two hard drives one being a ssd 100 gb and the other a 500 gb hdd.

So whenever I turn on amnesia at my monitor's resolution (1680x1050) it won't start. The game just sits on a black screen. However on certain resolutions when i play in windowed mode the game works up until the point where it starts loading the actual game. I go through the picking a name and everything and then when it starts loading it says that Amnesia.exe has stopped responding and it just will not load. Has anybody solved a way to fix this? I really want to try this game as it looks amazing. I already went through the troubleshooting guide and nothing fixed the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
