Oh boy. The difference in TDD and AMFP is not the jumpscares per se. It's the approach to scares and atmosphere. TDD was more intense and adrenaline focused (all the chase sequences, forced encounters, violent macabre content) while AMFP was more cerebral and subdued (less chase sequences, more psychological horror paired with some grisly visuals of human extremes and how the pigmen were eerily ''normal'' when they weren't trying to kill anyone).

Some people were expecting the TDD brand of horror.
