If I die after saving..

Alright, so, I'm in the choir
I finally got the three orb pieces, along with the ingrediant for Agrippa's potion. I saved the game shortly after this

A brute spawned very close to me right after I saved and I'm obviously terrified he'll kill me
If I die, will I lose the three orb pieces I've collected there and have to go through the entire choir ALL over again? ;_;
