I finally got around to do a video that shows how you use the Level Editor for the new game and then test the newly created level.
The editor has been created so that non-graphically skilled people (like me..) can create detailed levels by using sets of graphics created by artists. A lot of inspiration from the design of the editor has been taken from tile based 2D editors, where you use a set of tiles to create numerous variations of levels with a similar look. A good example would be any of the numerous adventure RPGs from the 8-bit/16-bit video game era.
What I will show in the demo is how I use a graphic set from a standard Castle style, create half a room, place and adjust light sources, graphical effects as well as add in some entities that the player can interact with.
It is also possible to do further things with the editor such as adding sounds and setting their properties. This is by no means the final version of the editor, it is all in heavy development but you can see that it has come so far to make it possible to create complete and interactive environments.

We'll show more of the editor as it develops and for the next video I(or perhaps someone else) will show the Model Editor, the editor we use to take a nice graphical object(say a door) and give it collision, joints and set properties to how it should behave when the player interacts with it.
