Retail Game crashes and I am stuck...

Try replaying from an earlier save and see if that helps if so.

I purchased this game through Steam is that makes a difference.
I am going to install it to my laptop and copy the saved game files over and see if I have the same issue as well.

OK the reinstall seemed to fix the issue, Thank you!
